Tsukuba International School (TIS) offers an international education for children from age 3 to 18 (preschool to Grade 12). We are an IB World School authorized to implement the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP) of the International Baccalaureate (IB).

The Position
We are currently seeking a facilities manager to start in April 2025. The role of the facilities manager is to assist the principal in managing the grounds, facilities, and equipment of the school. Please see the job description for details of this position.
Required Credentials
The following are non-negotiable credentials for this position.
- Valid and clean driver’s licence (This position requires some driving.)
- Fluency in Japanese
NOTE: All successful candidates will be required to submit a criminal history background check, or similar, for all countries that they have worked in, as a condition of employment.
Range of Experience
We give preference to candidates with the following kinds of experience.
- Experience with managing facilities, grounds, equipment.
- Experience working in an international environment.
- Experience working with people from various backgrounds.
- Experience with managing people.
Working Conditions
- Working hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
- Remuneration: According to the Operations Manager payscale
- Visa sponsorship: not available
- Relocation: applicant must currently live in, or be willing to commute to, Tsukuba, Ibaraki
