We get a lot of visitors here at TIS. Some come for a few hours, and some decide to move in permanently.
Our Grade 2 class just finished a unit on “Conflict Resolution”. One of the students returned from the weekend and submitted the following chart to his teacher, Ms. Marsh. According to his own “independent analysis” of his progress, he seems to have made a dramatic improvement in (sometimes) thinking about cooperating during this unit!
The Grade 2 class performed puppet shows that explained how to solve conflicts. This team had two characters who were fighting over a book. At first they decided to do “rock, paper, scissors” to see who would get the book, but then they decided that it would be even better if they read the book…
The Grade 5 class did an assembly about the learner attitudes. This team did a fantastic skit about being enthusiastic to start the show.
